Australian Dharma Celebration 2010

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition

The Dharma Celebration will be held in Melbourne from 2-5 April 2010 with Gen Kelsang Rabten,NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for Australia and New Zealand.

Gen Rabten will grant the empowerment of Buddha Maitreya on the morning of Saturday 3rd April. Over the course of the Celebration he will give teachings on loving kindness.

“If we want true, lasting happiness we need to develop and maintain a special experience of inner peace.”

Developing this warm heart gives us a feeling of closeness to all living beings as well as the ability to maintain a happy and peaceful mind all the time.

Teachers

GLKK Gen Kelsang Rabten is the National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) in Australia and New Zealand. He is able to share his experience with a warm heart and deeply engaging manner.

Gen Rabten will grant the empowerment of Buddha Maitreya and give teachings on loving kindness.

GKD Kelsang Dornying is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia. He will give the introduction to the Celebration and guide meditations.

GKR Gen Kelsang Nampur is the Resident Teacher of Dharmapala Centre, Perth. She will guide meditations during the Celebration.
